Training Description

This session is an introduction to the Salutogenic Best Self Approach to counseling.  The Best Self Approach is a revolutionary concept that supports clinicians in promoting positive transformation in their work with clients by using Salutogenic strategies to enhance What Is Right with clients.  Attendees will be introduced to the What’s Right With You six steps to transformation.

Learning Objectives

1. Participants will learn the definition of Coherence in Salutogenics.
2. Participants will learn six Salutogenic Key Points
3. Participants will learn how to apply the Salutogenic Best Self Approach to identify health promoting factors.
4. Participants will learn how to build Salutogenic Self-Identity to contribute to generalized resistance resources.
5. Participants will learn how to promote What Is Right With Clients to promote well-being.
6. Participants will learn the Salutogenic Best Self Approach Six Steps of Positive Transformation.

Credits listed below are for full attendance of the live training.  Attendees will sign in upon arrival and after lunch.  At the end of the training, attendees will be given an evaluation to complete.  After completing the evaluation attendees will receive a certificate of completion for the training.

Abra is the founder and owner of the Best Self Network.  She is a great supporter of wellness and well-being as a focus of positive transformation and health.  She is continually working to expand and elaborate on the Salutogenic Best Self Approach to support people in recognizing “What Is Right With Them” towards realizing a fulfilling life. 

Abra has accumulated a wealth of experience as a healthcare professional and professor of undergraduate and graduate studies.  Her work has included domestic and international clinical education and training.  She has extensive experience in working with the “What Is Right” concept as a focus of clinical attention towards successful outcomes in treatment.
