Jessica “Jess” Fletcher, Licensed Professional Counselor – United States

Jess is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-19389) with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS) with Trauma Institute International. Jess also maintains active membership with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). She also completed additional training on counseling and supporting gender expansive youth and adults through a program provided by Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She is certified in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method level 1 through the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Institute and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (200-hour RYT) with Yoga Alliance.

Jess received her master’s degree in counseling at Arizona State University (ASU) and completed undergraduate degrees in psychology (with a minor in family and human development) and English (creative writing: fiction concentration) in the Barrett Honors College at ASU. Valuing trauma-informed advocacy, Jess serves as an adjunct faculty member and a Certified Trauma and Resilience Life Coach at the Arizona Trauma Institute, where she provides training on trauma-informed care for LGBTQ+ populations and coaching support for organizational certification. She also acts as the Arizona Trauma Institute Clinical Board Chair.

Jess currently works in a private practice, Healthy Synergy, LLC, in Tempe, Arizona, which advocates for affirmative, inclusive care and approaches healing from a health and wellness perspective. Jess is an AZBBHE approved clinical supervisor and supervises the master’s level clinical interns at Healthy Synergy. She has experience counseling in multidisciplinary and community settings such as homes, schools, and integrated medical clinics. She believes people are incredibly resilient and strives to practice and mentor in holistic ways by incorporating gentle somatic work, intersectional identities, and community into the healing process.

Jess has been involved with volunteer work in the community as well, including previous work as a former founding board member, operations director, and fiction editor for Iron City Magazine (ironcitymag.com), a literary journal for those who are incarcerated. Passionate about rehabilitative care, she taught courses on psychology and creative writing in Florence State Prison and Eyman State Prison. Previously, Jess worked as a mentor and soccer coach for the Mesa Boys and Girls Club. She currently volunteers as a “big sister” mentor in Big Brother Big Sisters of Phoenix.
