Minoo Nariman, Clinical Psychologist – Iran
Minoo Nariman is a clinical psychologist from Tehran, Iran, holding both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tehran. Her academic and clinical focus is on trauma-informed care, with a special interest in complex trauma and behavioral addictions associated with traumatic experiences.
Minoo’s approach to healing is rooted in the understanding that trauma often lives in the body, not just the mind. In addition to her clinical training, she integrates somatic-based practices, mindfulness, trauma-informed yoga, and body-based self-regulation techniques into her therapeutic work. She has extensive experience working with individuals affected by dysfunctional family dynamics, emotional abuse/neglect, and developmental trauma.
Since 2022, she has been serving as an international partner with the Arizona Trauma Institute, attending mentoring programs and contributing the development of educational materials tailored for mental health professionals in Iran. She is dedicated to advancing trauma awareness and culturally responsive care in regions with prolonged exposure to collective and individual trauma. Her work is driven by a commitment to compassionate engagement with trauma survivors, particularly those whose experiences remain unspoken or overlooked.
